Our Story
“I came to Tupelo by what seemed to be chance. I am the oldest of six children and as part of a large family our problems were even larger. However, my story changed when I was adopted into a loving family at the age of 12. As a teenager I realized God was using my story to help others who have suffered from a broken home.
After graduating from Itawamba Community College in 1997, I attended Christian Life College in Stockton, CA and graduated in 2000 with a B.A. in Theology.
I met my wife, Kamala at college in 2000. I was studying while she, on the other hand, was looking for the man of her dreams... me! By the way, her beautiful name means, water buffalo...not really, it means water lily. As romance would have it, we got married in 2002 and began ministering throughout North America and internationally. Since Kamala was raised in Pakistan as a missionary child she was accustomed to ministry and the calling it requires. We love traveling and meeting a variety of people, but there was a desire in us to put down roots and see lives changed through deep relationship.
In 2015 we returned to Tupelo with our family Oliver, Kate, and Morgan, to answer the call of God and plant The Sycamore Church, who’s mission is helping people see Jesus, and ultimately living, loving and leading like Him.
I believe you also have a story that God wants to use to help others. We want to hear it.”
